UT IRG Council, a Department-Sponsored student organization, has three areas of focus: professional development, academic advancement, and social experience. The group holds weekly meetings to serve the student body of IRG majors by hosting panels and guest speakers, academic and career guidance, and track-related interaction. IRG Council also hosts social events, creates an avenue of peer mentorship, and coordinates opportunities for students to be a part of an IRG-specific community. Our council currently has over 60 members with interests ranging from diplomacy and international development to climate change and cultural anthropology. Just like IRG, we are interdisciplinary, globally-minded, and determined to make the world a better place!
